if it is nasty for birds, it's nasty for gerbils.

The spray I use is double the strength of bird mite spray,
and the problem with that stuff is you have to DRENCH
everything with it, and unless you literally drown the mites
in it, they keep going.

Go back and explain you need something 'bird safe'
and *ASK* for pyrenthin spray.  If it's weaker than 0.66
then you will have to use lots more; if you get it stronger,
you can dilute it.
