Hi everyone, I'm just so tickled with my Little Guy that I have to share this. My sister got me Little Guy after Ding-dum's accident. He's about 3 months old now, and has always been more willing to be held and cuddled than Poke-poke. Last night he learned to simply hop onto my hand for "elevator rides"! For example, whenever he fell into the bathtub accidentally, or climbed up high and then got stuck, as soon as I offered my hand he'd eagerly climb on board and sit there for a ride back to safety. He was so adorable! Poke-poke, on the other hand, would much rather keep trying to jump out of his scrapes himself until he's completely pooped. But that's okay, it's good exercise, he's rather plump anyway :-) Hhmmm, and Poke-poke fell asleep on me yesterday. It was so amusing to see him slowly sink down, stop moving, and ever so slowly close his eyes. Of course, then I was stuck with him sleeping on my leg... And Little Guy finally learned how to chew toilet rolls and popsicle sticks! Well, as long as I'm holding them anyway. I think he's a little spoiled, he refuses to chew unless we're holding it for him... ;-) Actually, when do gerbils reach full size? Little Guy is still smaller than Poke-poke (really, not just because Poke-poke's fatter). He's about 3 months, and Poke-poke's around 7 months.
