First of all, someone please tell me how I can thread my replies so that they end up in the gerbil digest. For now I will just have to write all my replies as a seperate entry. But I want them to thred under the message they are replying to. Ok, next... Amy and Francis... You may be right, I think the 50 gallon tank may be the best choice also, unless I can luck upon another 10 gal. at a yard sale or thrift store. Using the 15 might produce a bias to one or the other due to size, which could compromise the results. If I had enough gerbils I could do a concurrent study with different tanks and go only on health and other issues, but not gerbils preference. But so far I only own two. Also... Gary, I love the new picture of the gerbils on page twelve of the journal. Nice shot! ; ) Thanks to a link on one of your journal pages to scientific info on pine and cedar allergies, I was forced to rethink my opinins on the matter of bedding. And finally... Thanks to this mailing list I have found all the help and companionship I will need in raising and breeding gerbils. I kept them for several years then went two years with none, now I think this time around it will be even better having gerbils.
