Well well well...
Remember how I was afraid I had a male and female gerbil as opposed to two male gerbils, as the pet store told me?  I was right!!!  Today I was putting a new toy in the aquarium and decided to check on Nape, b/c he (now known as a "she" :P) hadn't been as active, and had been in the next box the last day or so.  So I open the top, and there's a little, squirming, pink baby!!!!  I was so shocked/happy/excited/scared all at the same time.  I didn't want to breed yet, I don't really have adequate facitlities for all that.  But it looks like I have no choice now :P  I checked back a few minutes ago, and there was another baby.  I figure if they're good parents, which they seem to be so far, I can just continue to let Nape have litters and look for homes for them.  I'm scared though, if the babies die I'll be heartbroken... I guess I'll have to see how it goes.

So anyone have any important pointers for a new mommy?  ;)  And I suppose its about time I start thinking up a clan name...
