My gerbil Kippy recently has been acting strange. I know quite a bit about sick gerbils, having had gerbils for years, but I'm not sure how to call this one.
She is sleepy. She usually would be running at me as soon as I open the door. Instead she lazily opens an eye and stretches out in her bed. At the same time, she doesn't seem to be feeling sick, because she is eating as piggishly as usual and when I let her out to run on my floor last night she scampered and climbed and chewed for over three hours. But she lies around so much, and she is always stretching out, not curling up tightly. But both she and her Percil-mate are very interested in her nether-regions. Could she be.... pregnant? I asked her, but she told me that 1- Percil is the gayest gerbil alive (I knew *that* already) and that 2- She is just over 2 years, too old for babies. But she is sort of acting pregnant.
