Hi Sharon, If you have a girl and a boy together, in a month if that you'll have a litter of pups with a second one on the way.
Since the pair is young they should be very adaptable to a new clan composition, I would recommend when the pups are just short of 5 weeks setting up a big tank of boys. And then pair with the mom and one daughter. And place all the rest of the pups. I have been thinking about neutering for one of my gerbils though. The pair is older (about 18 months) and very tightly bonded. The female is past her breeding prime as far as her and the pups health. I wonder how to find a vet who has neutered rodents and how much it would cost?
