Question........and its important

Hi Everyone, Just a quick question.....how much of a space does a gerbil need to be able to get under something? We just got home from the movie theater about an hour ago and my boyfriend sat at his computer and then I heard him say "Oh hi"! I asked who he said hi too and he replied "Oh! Hoppy"! It seems she stuck her head out from under the couch! (and he went back to his game after that). She just had to be seperated from her cage mate 2 days ago so I cant use him as bait to get him out, I have moved everything in my living room, shut the doors to all other rooms. I cant really just "wait it out" because we live in an appartment where the heaters arent gerbil proof (as we learned last nite when she escaped). Any ideas? Heather
