If you're not sure that you're getting all the e-mails you can check the
archive on the website to see if you have the same messages that you see
there. You should get all of them sent to your private address, but 40 is
probably a conservative estimate for really busy days. I have seen 6 or less
(?) a day - sometimes you may get extra if you asked a question and people
answer only you and not the whole list. I tend to like to save all my e-mail
for future reference, but I like that I don't have to worry about space being
taken up - even on those busier days - because I can delete all of the new
ones and look them up anytime in the archive. Most people probably never
think twice about deleting old messages, but for me, that's an added bonus.
