Hi Nadine,
Did you not get my email response to this
question?
As I explained in my earlier email; there is
no such thing as a RE DEH. (dark EYED honey) If she look exactly
like a DEH but has red eyes she is a Yellow Fox. They have the exact same
genetics except for the red eyes.
| DEH | A* | C* | ee | G* | P* |
| Yellow Fox | A* | C* | ee | G* | pp |
This is really quite simple. If a DEH
receives the genes for red eyes, pp, the are a Yellow Fox. Not that the
gene chart is exactly the same except for the eye loci.
Like wise there in no such thing as a RE
Nutmeg. If she had a colored belly like a nutmeg, but red eyes she would
be a Red Fox. Their genetics are exactly the same except for the eye
color.
| Nutmeg | a | C* | ee | G* | P* |
| Red Fox | a | C* | ee | G* | pp |
If your gerbil has an all white belly it
is a Spotted Yellow Fox, A*C*eeG*pp.
Janet
