One other thought, Bruce, is to talk about the use of the Connector architecture.
A couple of weeks ago, Dave (Blevins) was explaining to me how JDBC connections are wrapped with a connector. He also mentioned that with the EJB 2.1 spec, connectors are critical. I've done some work with connectors, but I'm excited to see how they are being used. Most Java developers I talk to are still pretty hazy on what exactly the Connector architecture is, what it does, and how to use it. The project will achieve this by building upon the many Java projects at the Apache Software Foundation. In addition, the project is bringing together leading members of the Castor, JBoss, MX4J, and OpenEJB communities, and possibly others. The intent of this session is to discuss the current status of Apache Geronimo as well as the roadmap for the future.
