I believe, but am not certain, that unless you ran "maven plugins" before building it may be using an old version obtained from somwhere.
The problem you are seeing is that the xmlbeans classes are not being generated from the schema. A missing/old plugin is the most likely cause.
Not that it helps much but the build is working for me and other people.
