Hello,   You’ll want to take a look at the network module in Geronimo.  It implements a protocol stack paradigm.  One of the protocols is an NIO socket.  I would love to hear your comments.  We would be even more excited to receive code contributions.   The best place to start is the incubator site which has links to our Jira and Wiki, http://incubator.apache.org/geronimo/.  You can always find developers hanging out at irc://irc.freenode.net/geronimo; this is a fantastic place to pick developers brains while munching on Tank cookies.     Regards, Alan   -----Original Message----- From: Thomas P.
