John, if you are happy with what you get, then stick with it. For me, BBC HD is clearly far superior, so I will continue to download that (if available) - despite the large file sizes. Not all BBC output is HD. In fact, as from the end of March, BBC HD does not exist any more, and has been replaced by BBC One HD and BBC Two HD. As a result, BBC One HD and BBC Two HD are simulcasts of BBC One and BBC Two. So, if there is an SD show on BBC Two, it will also be SD on BBC Two HD. However, if a BBC Two show was produced in HD, it will appear as SD on BBC Two, and HD on BBC Two HD. For example, today, on BBC Two HD - there is only one HD programme showing in the entire day - at 23:20pm. Everything else will appear as SD, which is probably what you are experiencing - SD on both channels. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Rick _______________________________________________ get_iplayer mailing list [email protected] http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer
