Scattered through the BBC website are other audio programmes such as RM or RAM. This is an example.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/shropshire/content/articles/2007/03/17/abolition_sound_the_jubilee_feature.shtml get_iplayer will not get it. However you can do a right mouse click and download the RAM file. http://www.bbc.co.uk/shropshire/realmedia/2007/03/sound_the_jubilee.ram Then open it into Notepad and you'll find the URL to the actual file. Copy and then paste this into Orbit. rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/shropshire/2007/03/sound_the_jubilee.rm You can then open this RM file into Audacity and then convert it to MP3 etc. CJB. -------------------------------------------- On Tue, 20/5/14, Rob S <[email protected]> wrote: Subject: Re: Some iplayer programmes not showing To: "Chris J Brady" <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, 20 May, 2014, 14:55 Aha - I see - I've got it to do that now. Examining towns and stations along the way, Betjeman laments the tragic decline of steam railways. The journey culminates with a stroll around Highbridge Wharf, sentimentally narrated with a poem that sums up Betjeman's despair; 'Highbridge Wharf, your hopes have died...'. > > First broadcast on 29 March 1963. > > Chris B. > > -------------------------------------------- > On Mon, 19/5/14, Rob S <[email protected]> wrote: > > Subject: Some iplayer programmes not showing > To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> > Date: Monday, 19 May, 2014, 12:54 > > Hi > > I have noticed that some iplayer programmes cannot be > located using get iplayer. > > The programmes affected are shown in the iplayer section of > the BBC website along with all the other programmes but they > were added by the BBC some time ago and are not removed from > the iplayer service after the normal time period.
