Ladies and gentlemen, Seems it was my SOCKS5 tunnel after all. My apologies for the noise.

However, I started getting the following message: get_iplayer v2.94, Copyright (C) 2008-2010 Phil Lewis This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details use --warranty. I have verified that my SSH tunnel is up and operational and reports me being in the UK. Taking a look at the 'info' for the program, it also reports no 'versions' available, but I've seen that before and have been able to rip the program (the same is true of the program, 'This Week', but I'm able to download that): xxx@xxx ~ > get_iplayer --info 1080 get_iplayer v2.94, Copyright (C) 2008-2010 Phil Lewis This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details use --warranty.
