If you don't want to give the BBC your personal details, give them fake
ones or use get_iplayer. If you don't want to use the discovery or
recommendation features or anything else provided by BBC Sounds, you can
still browse the schedules or category/program pages, select what you
want to listen to and press Play. If you do that, the only thing that
has changed is the name "BBC iPlayer Radio" to "BBC Sounds". You can
even turn the autoplay feature off.
If you only object to the changes on principle without any actual
practical concerns, I doubt the BBC will be interested.
