You should start by attempting to run a local getdeb using apt-portal, here are the instructions. http://wiki.getdeb.net/apt-portal/Download Once you feel comfortable with apt-portal's structure just let me know I will grant you bzr write access, we also should check with Rafael Laguna, he might already some improvements on actual html/css that could conflict on other changes that you plan to do.
