yes it is possible, I implemented that for one of my client. I have
sort of 2 payment processors: one is paymentech and the other one
allows the person to not pay and have his sisterhood pay instead
later.
you can add a drop down on the last page of the checkout for the
person to choose which processor to use and then depending on what the
person chose, change the way the payment is being processed.
Let me know if you'd like to see some code on that.
