Hi folks,

I have checked the whole source code, the mailing list archive and web
whether or not someone has already tried to add invoice functionality to
GetPaid. I did not find anything pointing this direction.

What I am looking for is a way to _automate_ the billing process
i.e.

 1. starting with processing a credit card
 2. create invoices (preferably as PDF) for a customer
 3. email this invoice to the customer

This is just a rough outline because there are more details we would
need to address in the long-term like for example the ability to add
intermediate steps in the process

 - for example it might be required for a human being (some role with
the appropriate permission) to approve things e.g. review the invoice
before emailing it to the customer
 - it might be required to put a digital signature onto the invoice.
This is usually done using a third party (like we use the payment
processors) or maybe simply GnuPrivacyGurad in order to sign (digital
   signature) the invoice
 - many invoices also carry a barcode to help companies with their
   logistics system
 - etc.

I know Oracle's business products quite well so ... ;-)

Has anyone tried the invoice thingy yet? Would it make sense to add this
functionality directly to getpaid (I am thinking of getpaid.invoce)?
I think the minimum use case (1-3 from above) should not be to hard to
implement.
