Hi folks, As you may have seen, Plone Foundation just got accepted as a mentoring org for Google Summer of Code (GSoC). For those not familiar, GSoC pays students to work on open source projects during the summer. The students get paired with a mentor who monitors their progress and supports their work.
Since the GetPaid community has been growing over the years, I am hoping we have enough interest this year to support participation in the project. Basically we need to find student(s) and mentor(s) willing to participate. Potential projects include: - Refactor checkout wizard to make it easier to deal with offsite payment processing, and update payment processor implementations to take advantage of the changes. This should also fix the need to override the whole wizard for any customizations as well. - Address issues in the tracker (there are a variety that will help GetPaid get to more mature state). - Add new functionality/ies: premium content, or recurring payments, or downloadable content. I'm interested to hear your feedback on the project ideas as well as any interest in being the student or mentor for the project!
