Hi Michael,

Tried that, but got an error message "Unable to parse this XML file"

That made me think: if the fact that it wasn't compressed on Aaron's website and I downloaded to a PC then transferred it to the Mac has caused the problem!

So, I re-downloaded it straight to the Mac and as they say "et voila" it can now be opened in RB2006r1.

I wonder if XML format would be the better way of cross-platform compatibility, especially for downloading.

However, your tip is worth remembering.

Just to report that Aaron's software does the job!

However:

RB2006r1 under OS 10.4.4 wouldn't open the project so I saved it from
the Windows version as an XML file and this loaded perfectly.

I'll play with the project to see if I can get it to imitate Laplink
more closely, purely as a learning experience. If I succeed I'll post
the result here.

On the Mac (10.4.4), if you open the project file with 5.5 and add a comment
(anywhere), then save it, you'll be able to open it with 2006r1 and 2005r4.

Michael
