That used to be true on Windows, but hasn't been so for a while. It was never true on the Mac. I doubt this is an issue any more (but then, I'm not sure how plugins work on Linux.)

I'm still working with some things in 5.5.5, as I know many others are, and that still seems to be the case for Windows.

Didn't this change for 2005 ?
