Can we dispense with the public examination of the
capabilities of any individual on this (beginner???)
list unless it is positive? It does not foster a
friendly comfortable atmosphere and strays way off
topic from programming to public humiliating of those
asking "dumb" questions. Newbies can tend to feel
like < we > are asking dumb questions altogether too
often in the first place.

To put it politely, some people do not want their pants
pulled down for public display. Please just have the
tact not to do it and perhaps if you have a conscience
even apologize to him for having done so at all.

Finally, if all else fails, at least please keep the
"dr's exam room" mindset off list since it teaches NOTHING
about programming.

Thanks
Don
