To be honest, we can't spend much time on it.

I think this is coincidence. The archives do nothing but check an  
email account that is subscribed to the lists so they aren't closely  
related.

It is a mystery. I can't think of anything that we could change here  
either. The logs don't help much for this kind of thing.
