Actually, Brian doesn't refer to it as "an editfield" but as "a edit field". Other than his improper use of "a" instead of "an", it seems quite logical. Perhaps enter box would be more appropriate.

What is really missing in his 'Keyboard', besides a spacebar, are the primary editing controls such as Delete the arrow keys and an apostrophe. The only reason for the 'Keyboard' (as I perceive it) is to allow a quadriplegic to 'type' their words to be spoken by using a mouth controlled device. Using a mouse to actually enter keys would be silly as that person would be able to type the string using the normal keyboard itself.

Making the editfield have a scrollbar is also not very effective due to its small size (3 lines). This is probably enough space for most people using the program for a single sentence.

All in all, I think that this application is one of Brian's best examples so far.
