I Agree with that,
I was also asked to renew my suscription but it seems to be like folks
at RealSoftware softdev just hear us when people from sales asks them.
I also decided to wait until they hear us, RealBasic is a really nice
tool but also a buggy one, I have my posted my own reports at the
tracking system and of course wait for all the other to be fixed.
Also I think that at this point Realsoftware "Must not" be charging us
for a renew plan because that is charge us for fix bugs, I do not charge
my customers for that!!!, instead of adding new features they must solve
their bugs first, I think Realsoftware Must provide all of us a bug free
release at no extra charge dont you think so?.

Personally, I had such a bad taste in my mouth from RB2005 bugs, UI changes and
how it was handled that I've decided not to re-up my subscription until I
absolutely have to. We can b*tch and complain all we want but I've decided to
do the only thing that businesses really listen to - I stopped giving them my
money and I would suggest that anyone else that was as upset as I was to do the
same. Only then will RB think twice before releasing an incredibly bug ridden
piece of crap like RB2005 was. Perhaps 2006 is a lot better and more stable but
the damage is done and I don't plan on finding out how much better RB2006 is
until I absolutely have to - if I even stick with RB. I hope that RB realizes
that there is a balance between releasing products on time and releasing
products that will not drive customers away. RB2005 missed that mark entirely
and hope they don't make that mistake again.

Quoting RBNUBE <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I've just recently been told that I have a limited time (until June 28) to
save $50 by purchasing an upgrade "subscription" to RB. This would be an
upgrade from RB2005r4 to RB2006r2.
I am one of the people on the side of the fence that doesn't particularly
like the 2005-2006 interface and I find the bugs too annoying in 2005r4 and
below to actually use it. I can deal with the interface, I suppose, but I'm
not sure about the bugs and IDE sluggishness.
My question is: Is it worth it to purchase the upgrade now, or should I
wait until RB2007? Are many of you still having a lot of trouble?
Haven't heard anything lately, so I'm wondering if most of the bugs have
been ironed out.
Thanks!
WinXp SP2, 2GHz, 2G RAM
