ReadOnly, only prevents the user from typing or dropping text in
the EditField. You can change it in code at any time.
You may be having some problems in your code that we cannot see
without a representative example.

Thanks Terry,
In trying to create a simple example I find that setting a Mask or
Format is causing the problem. Without both the problem seems to go
away.
Will dig into this a little.

Found the cure. Deleting the Mask on each of the Fields cured the
problem. Not sure why it was ever there.
