This routine is in the "LostFocus" of a field. If I tab thru the field when I leave Editfield1 the focus disappears. If I tab again the focus goes to the first field, Not Editfield1. Are there some rules I'm not aware of?

It is likely that another control is getting the focus after your EditField. This might be a control off-screen, or a control which can accept focus but does not have a visual indicator (such as a Canvas with "FocusRing = False").

This seems to not be the problem.

Controls gain their focus in the order of the "Control Order". If you don't like the order, enable the "Control Order" option in the "View" menu while in Window mode. Then you can adjust the control order by selecting controls and sending them back/front or by manually editing each value in the Properties section.

All controls are set to logical order. There are no extra controls.

Tabbing through the items, the first one is the TextWindow, Placement 0. This appears to be where control is going. I haven't found a way to not get there.

If you don't want a control to receive the focus, I believe setting "Enabled" or "Visible" to False will skip the control as you tab.

Setting the "TextWindow to not visible kills the whole screen.
