Hi all
I am hoping someone can help me with the DropObject event in an EditField. All
I am trying to do is drag and drop simple text files. I've following the Drag &
Drop thread that Robert started and I thought you guys could help with a
simpler problem.
I have used straight from the LR
Me.AcceptFileDrop("text") in the open event to let it know what is
expected and then
Dim textStream as TextInputStream
If obj.folderItemAvailable then
Do
textStream=obj.FolderItem.Openastextfile
Me.text= Me.text+textstream.readall+ Chr(13)
loop until not obj.NextItem
End if
in DropObject event, to no avail. Is this supposed to go here? No real
indication where it is supposed to go I assumed this is the place.
When I run the app I do get the cursor change expected when I drag a notepad
file over and drop it on the EditField but no text will appear.
Multiline is set true.
I have even rem'd out the if - then statement to force the Do loop and
nothing.
I have embedded Beep in side and outside the if and Do and nothing. It looks
like the DragObject function event is not firing at all.
Anyone else have this problem? Should be simple but ...
