It is possible in RB.

You need the CarbonApplicationEventsMBS class, make a subclass and add
to the MenuPopulate event:

  dim m as MenuBarMBS
  m=new MenuBarMBS
  m.PreferencesMenuVisible=false

and in the app.open event something like that:

  e=new MyEvents
  e.Listen

so whenever RB updates the menubar the plugin can make the pref menu
invisible.

Or it can probably done with declares. AFAIK, Brian prefers actual Rb code as opposed to using plug-ins. I may be wrong, however.

Still, simply disabling it would probably be sufficient for his purposes. If not, he should explain why it is important that it must be invisible.
