OK so how do I set a extension and how do I get my document icon to
appear when a file has my extension?

t = f.createTextFile
f.MacType = "Text"
f.MacCreator = "UKBH"

No, Win32 only rely on the extension.
Note that, on MacOS X, the extension may also be a good
