I created a different app and called it MyApp, this one works but the previous
one doesn't ,
I am using MaxOS - whast do you mean by "check to see whether the name of MyApp
has an extension."?, please explain a little more..

If it's MacOS, check to see whether the name of MyApp has an extension.
