True, but if you can write it off as an expense of doing business, $500 isn't all that bad.

It's not bad if you can use it :)
I've had one client project in 2005/2006 in the past two years
Everyone else is still using 5.5.5 because of bugs that affect their ability to move their projects up to the latest version

But, 2006r5 looks promising

Keeping things in perspective, 5.0 to 5.5.5 was the same.

I think we will be well into Rb 2007 before the equivalent resolution of problems will happen. I don't fault RS for all of this as Apple really threw everybody for a loop when they switched to Intel chips.

I must agree, however, that 5.5.5 is probably the most stable version released so far by REAL Software. They will eventually match and exceed it though.
