Sorry, I was unclear.  I'm not referring to the default shell
for the user. Prior to Jaguar, sh was literally identical to
zsh.  If instead you made sh identical to bash, builds would
speed up by more than a factor of two in my situation.  There
were problems with both choices, which I'll mention in private
if you're interested, so we don't go too far off topic here.

But I just saw a message that says sh is now identical to bash
in Jaguar, so maybe it's all been shaken out...
