Is there a searchable archive somewhere? or somewhere I can download the entire
archive so i can dig for some data. Hate to post questions
that have been asked.
I am trying to build a hardened linux box for my house to control my
X-10 devices. I am testing different forth compilers as forth seems
the best language for machine control (house.a unit.1 on) and it seems gforth is the
best so far, but I have to figure out how to do serial
IO like kforth's serial.4th lets me it seems to have the build in IOCTL
word. I would have to extend gforth by using libc but as forth is
not my strongest languages im not sure how i can implement ioctl's
need for a argp or in c words a (...) variable
param..
Also I found some socket.fs code out there that was nice but its odd
I found 2 versions one was hacked down to the basics for a simple
hello world server very nice example but again striped down. The
other I found was more tuned and striped down for opening up
connections but seems very hard to find many examples of its use.
anyone who has the best places to get some good samples and maybe find the complete
socket.fs file please let me know.
The main areas of examples I would love to digest would be in serial IO and extending
via libc for the use of sockets and other api's.
and any good examples of using the tasker.fs as this will be a key
component of what i need to do as i will need to have some
task watching for new messages that arrive on different IO devices
and tasks that just do specific X-10 or other automation events at
specific times.
Thanks in advance
