For those tracking the current CVS head, I have finally gotten around to doing the portability enhancements of the libcc.fs foreign function interface. You do need GNU libtool in addition to gcc (both at run-time) for it to work, but once you have that, it should work on many different platforms; I tried it successfully on Debian Linux and MacOS X (thanks to Dennis Ruffer and Leslie Snively for access to that machine).
