Familiar with the development of tools based on GIS Open Sources is desirable. These research activities will have a direct link to the INSPIRE data specifications development, facilitating the work of the INSPIRE thematic Working Groups and Drafting Teams. He/she will also contribute to develop and test INSPIRE data specifications in the context of projects and Interoperability Pilots. The ideal candidate has a PhD degree in computer science, geographic information science or related discipline (or a university degree in the mentioned fields and 5 years relevant research experience). He/she has at least 3 years experience with spatial data modelling and data interoperability. Working experience on UML and UML tools is required.
