To be honest, I would really like to remove this feature; SplitSections is better in nearly every regard. However, we have been stalled since SplitSections doesn't quite work yet on Windows (or, IIRC, the toolchain is prohibitively slow when it's used). I believe Tamar was working on fixing this.
