I've built ghdl under Mac OS X 10.5.6 last year. The process has been written about here. Gtkwave builds and runs fine currently, also. That was four OS updates and four Xcode updates ago. About ready to try again. Gcc releases are on their own schedule in OS X (compared to Linux distributions). There's also the GPL Adacore June 9, 2010 release of GNAT to contend with, I might try the 2009 release to make it easier, first. The effort would be under 10.6.4. I can't see trying to release it, but if and when I'll certainly document the process and report it. Instead of something so banal as ghdl under wine, there's always a Linux, ghdl and gtkwave under Oracle's VirtualBox or someone else's VM Manager. It can all be done under an Ubuntu or Kubuntu easily enough. There's a ghdl 0.28dev and gtkwave 3.2.0 under 9.10, or you could run Windows. You can also install from ghdl.fr. I've been using VirtualBox for other purposes and not doing anything VHDL too large for my Macbook and VirtualBox, but I'm going through a native port phase again and taking an interest in IEEE1076-2008. _______________________________________________ Ghdl-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/ghdl-discuss
