Thanks! I am currently developing a set of step-by-step instructions for building GHDL on FreeBSD. This is for people who are interested in the details of how to build the system from source. Eventually, I imagine it will be primarily useful to people who wish to follow the development branch of GHDL and will recompile frequently with a need to observe and control the process. After the step-by-step instructions document is completed, development on a more canonical FreeBSD [port][1] of GHDL will begin. This will be for people who wish to install and use a well tested release version of GHDL and are not interested in fiddling too much with the intricacies of the build process.
