But you can build the gcc version.

David K and I looked at the possibility of building a 64-bit version and
gave up.

That's a lot of work; and not very interesting as you can use llvm in jit mode 
now.

I have a 64 bit GCC based GNAT on my Mac OS 10.9 machine.  And yes, that 
actually is interesting; it allows me to link in non-VHDL modules to do stuff.

Maybe I misunderstood Brian. With a 64 bit GNAT on Mac, you can build ghdl using gcc as back-end; but you cannot build mcode version of ghdl.

I think that porting mcode for amd64 isn't very interesting, better to
use llvm instead.
