Sir/ Ma'am, In my attempts to get the installation working, I accidentally deleted and removed and installed new and old gcc version. Now my whole gcc is not working. I cannot compile a Hello World program. I searched on the internet and consulted my friends and the final conclusion was to install the OS again.
Error: "gcc: error trying to exec 'cc1': execvp:" I did this "gcc -print-search-dirs" and found that those directories did not exist. I also found out that cc1 compiler is not present in /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.6/cc1. I also tried out a purge and reinstall, but that also did not work. I have reinstalled build-essential, gcc and g++ multiple times, but my gcc still would not work. The current version is gcc-4.6.3 and g++ 4.6.3 which I do get after giving gcc -v and g++ -v. Do you suggest on working on the source code from the windows platform? I found that ghdl developer version can be installed on Windows? Kindly suggest a solution.
