Thanks to your hint about calling disp_tree, I could come up now with a relatively small test case, see http://sourceforge.net/p/ghdl-updates/tickets/39. The assertion failure basically happens in Sem_Procedure_Call, sem_expr.adb line 1495 (well actually within Get_Base_Name...)
