Apparently your assembler supports the discriminator. From the log, I

Does ghdl uses /usr/local/bin/as ? What is the output of:
$ ghdl --disp-config ?

A workaround is to remove '-g'.

Thanks for the hint, Tristan; it was helpful. Current status:

From: John Marino <[email protected]>

I committed it here:
http://www.freshports.org/cad/ghdl/

It won't build on dragonfly yet because the stock gcc 4.9 doesn't
support dragonfly. It would have to be patched.
It also doesn't build on FreeBSD 8.4 i386 but who cares...

The patches are published, here:
https://svnweb.freebsd.org/ports/head/cad/ghdl/files/

The main one is patch-src_ghdldrv_ghdldrv.adb but FreeBSD also needs
patch-src_grt_grt.ver . The patch-ghdl.gpr.in doesn't seem to be
necessary but I don't know why it would work without it (on FreeBSD).

Apparently, there are added substitutions in ghdldrv.adb, but I don't
see the script that does the substitutions.

Tristan.
