Hello Svenn,

our PoC-Library comes with a set of Python scripts to control 4 simulators:
- iSim from Xilinx ISE
- xSim from Xilinx Vivado
- vSim (ModelSim / QuestaSim)
- GHDL
All 4 can be contolled on Windows and Linux with the same set of files and CLI options.

No, it shouldn't.  What were the issues ?

I'll have to get back to that when I am in front of that particular computer because I think I may mix up some details from cocotb. I am furiously trying to find some way to do foreign control of just about any vhdl simulator because I need some kind of unit testing with large sets of data on a CI server on a product we have in the streets for years. The fear of side-effects when changing vhdl is stalling needed feature fixes.
