Hello, i'm new in this mailing list, and speaking with a friend of mine last
week end, i'm think about making a plug-in for gimp dealing with splitting an
image into several images, for web site (for example) like this:

Is there a good tool to do that under linux, or was it a good idea ?
My goal is to make a powerfull tool working like imagemap, but splitting the
image directly, and writing a few html code if necessary.
I never made plug-in, and never use GTK, but i think that i can get an important
part of the code from other plug-in, so don't be surprise if I asked you many
question
