the paint mode is displayed in the toolbox dialog. When user switches the paint mode, he mostly does not be informed of this event. Yes, the shortcuts were the same for some modes using f.e. F2-behind, pressing F2 again switched to replace and so on. The mode "negative" switched the colors using the current brush, it is simple and gives the invert function a more flexible usage. pitty, U cannot try the TV Paint on Tux.
