Also if you post the photo somewhere like flickr or google picasa maybe we can get an idea what the restoration might need. Unfortunately, a lot of that type of stuff can come down to doing it by hand (mouse), so be prepared to learn the various replication tools. Great experience though. By the time you're done you'll be a gimp expert.
