I had started at <http://www.gimp.org>, followed the DOCS link to <http://www.gimp.org/docs/>, and then to <http://docs.gimp.org/2.8/en/>. No search function at that destination. The image shows the home page of <http://docs.gimp.org/>. And, yay!, a search option.
