Have you tried https://software.opensuse.org/package/gimp-plugin-bimp?search_term=bimp I do not use OpenSuse, so no comments on that. I do use PClinuxOS, a rpm based distro same as 'Suse and the problem with BIMP is it uses a outdated Perl package libpcre3 which is AFAIK peculiar to Debian. So for PClinuxOS, compiled the BIMP plugin in Debian and 'stole' the libpcre.so.3 file to manually install. BIMP in my gimp profile, the other in usr/lib...
